In honor of our 165th season, we are giving away the ‘Keys to the Park’ for 165 minutes, to one deserving family! The winning family will have private access to the park on the evening of May 28th! What qualifies a family as deserving? We know many families have had a difficult few months, or years, due to the economy and they may have not been able to afford a trip to LC. Maybe you know (or are) a family whose been through recent personal hardships or know someone who is always giving back to others but never treats themselves. Any of these situations and others would qualify a family for this gift! Visit our website to enter by April 20th!
To nominate a family visit the Lake’s webpage ( or Click here for a direct link to the contest).
And once you’ve put in your nomination head over to the Crocodile Club to share who you’ve nominated and why!
The expansion plans for a larger water park at Lake Compounce have been stalled for several years while state and local officials have tried to secure funding to re-locate Mt. Vernon Road.
Now, Town Council member John Barry has announced his support for closing a portion of Mt. Vernon Road to allow the amusement park to expand east onto land it owns across the road.
“I know if would be controversial,” Barry said, “because it connects to Bristol, but we should look at it,” he told the council this week.
Town Council Chairman Edward Pocock III said the idea was something at least to explore.
