This Flying Scooters ride was built in 1937 and made its rounds to many different parks including Kennywood before finding a home at Lake Compounce 60 years later. When the Lake expanded their water park in 2000, the American Flyers were dismantled and kept in storage until they were refurbished, relocated, and given a new American flag theme. The vintage tub body style and beautiful patriotic paint and lighting designs add to the nostalgia of this classic family ride which was re-launched for the 2003 season. There are 10 tubs, and 1 or 2 people can ride in each.
