Rich & Sue are Married on Boulder Dash

On Saturday, June 10, forum member Sue and Rich were married on the world famous Boulder Dash Mountain Coaster. After logging more than 1,750 Boulder Dash rides as boyfriend and girlfriend, the two decided to tie the knot on the spot of their favorite wooden coaster. Wedding guests were treated to a fun day at the park that started at 10 AM with the couple getting married by Reverend Cliff Herring. Those in the wedding party then climbed aboard and shared Rich and Sue's first ride as a married couple. Some called it quits after one ride, but the others took two more spins on Boulder Dash. And for others still, more opportunities to get great photos of Rich and Sue, still in the front two seats, having a blast. Then it was fun for everyone as the mechanics opened the second train for rest of the guests. All the wedding guests were given the opportunity to ride Boulder Dash until the park opened to the public at 11.

At noon, the reception began in the catering area. The event included a toast from the best man, some words by Rich, delicious food including a one-of-a-kind Boulder Dash cake, dancing, and even a karaoke performance by the not-so-shy groom. With the reception finished at 3, the wedding guests were allowed to enjoy the park which was more beautiful than ever, even after all the harsh rain that fell in the area. Rich and Sue had one more special treat for their guests. After the park closed at 8, everyone at the wedding was invited back to the mighty coaster of coasters, for an hour of unlimited night time rides.

LakeCompounce.org wishes Rich and Sue a lifetime of adventure as husband and wife. Special thanks to Lake Compounce for a beautiful event.
